Technical Terms and Product Materials

Copy safe
Folders and pockets made of copy safe plastic material ensure that photocopier ink will not smudge off on the plastic. Copy safe pockets and folders ensure that photocopies remain readable for many years.

Strong-Line®
Strong-Line® is the registered trade mark describing the reinforced bottom edges of Elba and Bantex lever arch files as well as the hole reinforcement strips on front sheets of Bantex indices and dividers.

An Elba and Bantex Strong-Line® lever arch file has an extra layer of plastic foil along the bottom edge which not only protect the files from wear and tear, but also prevents scratching of cabinets and desks.

Strong-Line® indices and dividers have plastic strips on the cardboard front pages which ensure that the pre-punched holes will not rip when indices and dividers are used frequently.

Maxi Indices and Dividers
Extra wide indices and dividers are ideal for insertion of plastic pockets in binders and lever arch files as the tabs are not covered as with indices and dividers of regular width.

Polypropylen (PP) is an enviroment friendly type of plastic often used for e.g. pockets, folders, dividers, ring binders and lever arch files. It is copy safe and photo safe, which means that the plastic does not react with the colour of photocopies and photos.

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is a very strong type of plastic suitable for e.g. ring binders.
